Barbara Cane, Vice President & General Manager, Writer/Publisher Relations, Los Angeles

As Vice President & General Manager, Writer/Publisher Relations, Los Angeles, Barbara Cane directs all Writer/Publisher activities in BMI’s Los Angeles office as well as oversees the general operations of the office.

She has been with BMI more than 20 years, holding positions in both the New York and Los Angeles offices, and has a broad knowledge of both the creative and business sides of the music industry.

In addition to her BMI position, Cane is a Governor of the Los Angeles chapter of NARAS and sits on the Boards of Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program, City of Hope, among other foundations.  She holds B.A. degree in the History of 19th Century French Art from Barnard College of Columbia University.
