January 15-25...The Sundance Film Festival is universally regarded as the foremost showcase for American independent films. The Festival culminates in the live broadcast of the Sundance Film Festival Awards. BMI at Sundance: Monday, Jan. 19 - BMI Condo Party (invitation only); Tuesday, Jan. 20 - BMI Songwriters Snowball from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring acoustic performances by Shelby Lynne, Allison Moorer and Nathan Larson with Nina Perrson from the Cardigans at the Sundance House at the Kimball Art Center, Main Street, Park City; Wednesday, Jan. 21 - BMI Roundtable - Music & Film: The Creative Process, 11-1 p.m. at the Sundance House at the Kimball Art Center, Park City. Panelists include composers Rolfe Kent (About Schmidt, Legally Blonde), George S. Clinton (Austin Powers, The Santa Clause), Nathan Larson (Boys Don't Cry, The Woodsman), Mark de gli Antoni (Marie & Bruce), Peter Golub (The Laramie Project), Jeff Beal (Pollack, In The Realm of the Unreal), David Julyan (Memento, Insomnia), B.C.
