BMI Songwriters Workshop with Jason Blume: Nashville
Generally held the second Tuesday of each month from 1-5pm in the BMI/ Nashville offices, the BMI Songwriters Workshop with Jason Blume is open to all songwriters who are serious about and committed to successful commercial songwriting. At each workshop, Blume examines the components of hit songs and covers a variety of topics including song structure, lyric and melody writing techniques, musical hooks, writing from the heart for the radio, and effective demo recording, among others. This month's topics include Lyric Emphasis and Creative Exercise. In just over three years, the Workshop has been presented throughout the United States, offering instruction to more than 3,000 writers from 28 states.
