Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony: New York
BMI songwriting/composing greats Don Black, Bobby Weinstein and the late Teddy Randazzo are among the inductees into the 38th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, being held at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Also slated for induction this year are Jackson Browne, Irving Burgie and Michael Masser. BMI songwriters will also be recipients of two special awards: The Johnny Mercer Award to Dolly Parton and the Hal David Starlight Award to John Legend. Legendary music industry figure, Don Kirshner, is the recipient of the Abe Olman Publisher Award for Lifetime Achievement.
