| Indie musicians and songwriters know the importance of a good demo. But once it's recorded, how do you get it heard by industry professionals? On May 14th from 6-8 p.m., at BMI, 320 West 57th St., NYC, there will be a panel that will address that very question. The panelists include Brooke Primont, Director Writer-Publisher Relations, BMI; Rita Houston, Music Director WFUV FM; Mary Gormley, A&R, Atlantic Records; Jennifer Gilson, booker for The Living Room; and the panel will be moderated by singer/songwriter, Paul Brubaker. Each panelist will discuss their approach to reviewing demos, as well as what they look for in demo submission. The panelists have also agreed to listen to a few demos at the event, so don't forget to BRING YOUR DEMO! |
