Even a rainy night couldn’t have put a damper on the second "Circle of Songs" showcase of the year. Ritt Henn opened the show, performing his humorous songs on solo stand-up bass. Rick Kurek was next, playing guitar effortlessly on upbeat numbers, followed by Stephanie Alexander’s sweet, angelic voice, accompanied by Eric Walls on guitar. Closing the Circle was Tommy Henriksen who performed pop-rock numbers from his self-titled CD.

The BMI Circle of Songs is a monthly showcase series held the last Wednesday of every month at the Gig in West Los Angeles. Be sure to check the archive section of Live On The Net.com to see a replay of this show. Featuring:

Tommy Henriksen
Tommy's self-titled debut CD has all the elements to appeal to an audience eagerly seeking a fresh blend of pop and rock with a new lyrical slant and unique sound. Heavily influenced by world music, he incorporates such unusual instruments as the sitar, tabla drums, the moon lute, Swedish bagpipe and Irish pennywhistle to create a multi-layered, multi-cultural sound.

Ritt Henn
Ritt has worked playing stand-up bass with such luminaries as Buddy Rich, Chuck Berry, Tom Jones, has opened for comic Soupy Sales and even performed "Stand By Me" with Ben E. King at a used auto parts convention in Las Vegas. His live shows incorporate elements of storytelling and humor, being described as "a funkier Cole Porter, a master of the wry and clever."

Stephanie Alexander
Stephanie has been singing and performing since the age of eight, starting in choir at her father's church and advancing to become an accomplished session singer. She has toured and performed on television with many including Diana Ross, Brandy, Macy Gray, and Christina Aguilera.

Rick Kurek
A Chicago native, Rich has lived in Los Angeles for the past three years and has released two CD's: H.O.P.E. and Heaven To Me. His sound blends adult alternative and acoustic pop rock in a straight-ahead musical style.
