AIMP to Honor BMI’s Thea Zavin
|
|
BMI Senior Vice President and Special Counsel Thea Zavin will receive this year's Indie Award, presented by the New York chapter of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP). Zavin has been a leader in the fight for copyright protection throughout the world since starting at BMI in 1952, and has also been instrumental in building various endowments through the BMI Foundation serving as its President since 1985. Foundation projects range from bringing music to inner-city children to supporting the performance of contemporary American classical music. Zavin will receive the Indie Awards Thursday, December 7 at AIMP's "In With The New Year" party at Dillon's Restaurant.
