With a Little Help From My Friends
BMI songwriter Bobby Tomberlin's friends -- of whom there are many -- turned out in full force to celebrate his first #1 single, "One More Day," recorded by Diamond Rio. The single, published by Mike Curb Music and produced by Diamond Rio and Michael Clute, spent two non-consecutive weeks at the top of the country charts; the song is the title track from their seventh Arista Nashville album and the group's seventh #1 single. Tomberlin, who was congratulated by friends Eddy Arnold, Jan Howard, Bill Anderson, Dickey Lee, Sara Evans, Hal Ketchum and Merle Kilgore at the party, recently scored with another single, "Good Day To Run," sung by Darryl Worley.
