3 Doors Down, who are about to embark on a goodwill "Navy Tour" to entertain American sailors overseas, returns to the States in late October to kick off their Bud Light-sponsored US tour in support of Away From the Sun, the follow-up to the band's six-times platinum debut album, The Better Life. The band is also featured in a Bud Light TV commercial airing this fall.

Brad Arnold, frontman and main songwriter of the hard-rocking, hard-working Mississippi combo, was recently named BMI's Pop Songwriter of the Year, in recognition of placing four songs on 2001's Most Performed Songs of the Year list, namely "Be Like That," "Duck and Run," "Loser" and the Grammy-nominated top 10 smash "Kryptonite," which received its second BMI Pop Award.
