Jeffrey Steele

Hundreds of guests gathered at BMI Nashville for a bayou-themed party to preview Jeffrey Steele's first solo album Somethin' In the Water from Sony Music Nashville. Steele and his band performed a solid set of songs from the new recording, including the title track co-written with BMI writers Al Anderson and Bob DiPiero.

Although the record marks Steele's first release as a solo artist, he previously scored as the lead singer of the band Boy Howdy, penning "They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore" and the #1 "She'd Give Anything." Winner of multiple BMI Country, Pop and Million-Air honors, he has written for other top acts including John Michael Montgomery ("Hello L-O-V-E"), LeAnn Rimes ("Big Deal"), Diamond Rio ("Unbelievable"), Trace Adkins ("I'm Trying") and Collin Raye ("Couldn't Last A Moment").
