Composer Aaron Zigman Writes Noteworthy Music

Versatile BMI film composer Aaron Zigman was featured in a Q&A session along with director Nick Cassavetes following a screening of the dramatic love story, The Notebook. The Society of Composers and Lyricists presented the Q&A and screening at the Directors Guild of America on June 14. Based on Nicholas Sparks' best-selling novel, The Notebook stars James Garner and Gena Rowlands and will be in theaters June 25.

Pictured after the screening are BMI composer Aaron Zigman, BMI's Doreen Ringer Ross, director Nick Cassavetes, and the SCL's Laura Dunn.

Zigman made his feature film debut with the score to the critically-acclaimed drama, "John Q," also directed by Cassavetes starring Denzel Washington. He has also worked extensively as a music producer, arranger and/or writer for such recording artists as Christina Aguilera, Seal and Aretha Franklin.
