Film Music Power Players Discuss Game Plan at AIMP Panel

The Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) held its "Playing The Studio Music Game: The Power Players You Need To Know" panel in Los Angeles recently to a sold-out crowd of music publishing and industry executives. BMI's Michael Crepezzi, who serves on the AIMP board, co-moderated the panel, which featured an in-depth discussion on music for film and television from the power players who work with or at studio music departments. The 2-hour seminar also explored the challenges facing creative executives in the music industry today.

Shown after the panel are co-moderator Cathy Merenda, Executive Director, Fox Music Publishing; Doug Frank, President, Warner Bros. Music Operations; Pat Lucas, EVP/GM, Film Soundtrack Division, EMI Music Publishing; Chris Montan, President, Walt Disney Music; Todd Homme, Executive In Charge of Music, DreamWorks SKG; Gary LeMel, President, Worldwide Music, Warner Bros. Pictures; and co-moderator Michael Crepezzi, Director, Performing Rights, BMI. Photo by Clinton Ashton
