Longtime BMI affiliates Diffie, Martin and Shapiro, who wrote the song four years ago (it appeared on Diffie's 2001 album In Another World), have earned a total of 64 BMI Country Awards and 56 Million-Air certificates for their songwriting.

Among Diffie's award winners are "Honky Tonk Attitude" and "New Way To Light Up an Old Flame." Martin, who wrote Diffie's smash "Third Rock From the Sun," previously teamed with Shapiro on the hits "I Keep Looking," "I Miss My Friend," "Just Let Me Be In Love," "Living and Living Well," "Perfect" and "No Place That Far." "My Give A Damn's Busted" is the 23rd #1 single for Shapiro, a four-time BMI Country Songwriter of the Year.
