Film/TV Execs Offer Tips on Music Licensing at DIY Convention

BMI's Ray Yee moderated the "Licensing Your Music" panel at the sixth annual DIY Convention: Do It Yourself In Film, Music and Books, held recently at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles. The panel, which featured leading professionals from the film and television music industry, focused on licensing issues facing filmmakers and how songwriters or composers can go about protecting and submitting their works.

The annual DIY Convention features live music performances from national and regional independent acts at various venues across Los Angeles, cutting-edge film screenings, and an extensive line-up of panels, workshops and keynote speakers focusing on creating, promoting, protecting and distributing independent film, music and books.
