2011 Songbird Camp Set for October 7-9
BMI will proudly sponsor the Songbird Camp, a creative retreat for songwriters just outside of Nashville, slated for October 7-9, 2011. Founded by Ben and Brittany Cooper, along with Mike Zeller, Songbird Camp aims to offer respite from daily distractions as it recharges and refocuses songwriters’ creative batteries.
BMI tunesmith Ben Cooper is a staff songwriter at Writers Den Music Group; Brittney is the editor of Brite magazine; Zeller is an experienced creative breakthrough coach, trained to help push others to realize their professional and artistic potential. They’ll be joined at Songbird Camp 2011 by industry mentors Beth Laird (Director, Writer/Publisher Relations, Nashville, BMI), Gordon Kennedy (the pen behind Eric Clapton’s “Change the World,” among others), Bug Music’s Ed Williams and Brentwood Benson’s Stacey Wilbur.
Songbird Camp founders say, “Our hope is that you will leave Songbird Camp filled and empowered to create and bring your own voice to the table. Then and only then can original creativity thrive and grow both in and beyond Nashville.”
The cost of attendance is $325 for those who register before September 1, 2011. To learn more and apply, visit songbirdcamp.com.
