BMI Storms the Stages at SXSW 2016
Ask your nearest rabid music fan what March means, and you’re bound to get a shout-out to SXSW. Now into its third decade of band-breaking and taste-making, this pivotal Austin festival is known for showcasing the best and brightest new acts from across the indie spectrum. For 2016, BMI is incredibly excited to be presenting a robust roster of performers across SXSW’s stages. This year, our signature Indie/Rock Showcase features alternative rockers, Weathers, electro-pop duo, Secret Weapons, the style-mashing Brooklyn duo, The Blancos, blues-rockers Welshly Arms, versatile singer-songwriter Janelle Kroll and the post-punk foursome, Drowners, from New York City. With a lineup like this, BMI’s 2016 class is guaranteed to make this SXSW one to remember.
