The 67th Annual BMI Pop Awards will be a night of celebrating music excellence. Sting, a BMI Icon, will be honored for his hit single “Every Breath You Take,” which has become the Most Performed Song in BMI’s catalog of over 14 million musical works, multi-platinum GRAMMY Award-winning band Imagine Dragons will receive the BMI President’s Award, and legendary music publishing executive, Martin Bandier, will be named a BMI Icon, the first time a music publisher has been given this honor.
The invitation-only event, taking place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles, will also honor the songwriters and publishers of the past year’s most-performed pop songs in the United States, as well as naming the BMI Pop Song, Songwriter and Publisher of the Year.
