BMI AND LICENSEMUSIC.COM ANNOUNCE INNOVATIVE COLLABORATION AGREEMENT

One-Stop Music Licensing Service For Internet Media Producers

NEW YORK - May 19, 2000 — U.S. performing rights organization BMI and LicenseMusic.com, the leading provider of online music licensing services, today announced the signing of a collaboration agreement. The agreement will enable BMI to provide the online licensing for performance rights for music offered to websites by LicenseMusic.com.

The innovative agreement establishes a cooperative relationship enabling LicenseMusic.com to offer comprehensive music licensing over the Internet. Under the terms of the agreement, web designers, creative directors, web media producers and other Internet professionals licensing music from LicenseMusic.com will be able to obtain Klik-Thru licenses via BMI’s Digital Licensing Center (DLC). LicenseMusic.com can then offer the rights for use of master recordings and compositions in audio-visual productions

Likewise, visitors to BMI’s website, www.bmi.com, will be able to click through to LicenseMusic.com upon identification of any song that is also contained in LicenseMusic.com’s repertoire. LicenseMusic.com will also feature a new search filter that will cater to the needs of customers who prefer to license BMI affiliated tracks.
