Dance Music World Honors Top UK Stars

BMI's UK dance artists were feted at DanceStar 2000, the international online Dance Music Awards, that took place recently at London's Alexandra Palace. Celebrating the phenomenal achievements of UK artists, DanceStar 2000 and the accompanying Channel 4/T4 television show were designed to give the entire industry a greater sense of the thriving dance music scene while further boosting dance music sales and gaining even more extensive chart recognition. The £2m inaugural event opened with a thoroughly successful international awards ceremony attended by over 2,000 music industry and media executives, featuring 21 awards' presentations and 8 live performances.
