BMI Gets Its Mojo Working

Dr. David Sanjek, Director of the BMI Archives, was a featured speaker at the 5th annual American Music Masters event entitled "Got My Mojo Working: Muddy Waters and Modern Blues." The event, presented by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in conjunction with the Blues Foundation and the Delta Blues Museum, was held in Cleveland on September 23rd. Sanjek appeared on the panel "Muddy Waters' Influence on Contemporary Music," joined by David Katznelson and contemporary blues artists Debra Coleman, Bernard Alison and Luther Dickinson. Sanjek is on the Board of Directors of the Blues Foundation and received their "Keeping the Blues Alive" award for Historic Preservation.
