BMI Artists Shine at Billboard Music Awards
BMI artists hit the jackpot at last night's (Dec. 5) Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Co-hosted by comedienne Kathy Griffin and reigning boy-band kings 'N Sync, who took home four awards, the awards are based on the Billboard year-end charts for the period of December 1999 through December 2000.
BMI country artists the Dixie Chicks and Faith Hill, who both delivered stellar performances, also won four awards each.
Other show highlights included 3 Doors Down, who performed their smash hit "Kryptonite" complete with a flying Superman, and Creed, who performed their anthem "Higher" above the Vegas skyline on top of a neighboring hotel.
