BNA artist Kenny Chesney, fresh from his "Fast Track" honor at the TNN/CMT Country Weekly Music Awards, celebrated the #1 success of "Don't Happen Twice" with BMI writer Thom McHugh during a party at BMI Nashville. Also saluted at the event were publishers Copyright.Net Music and McMore Music, co-writer Curtis Lance (his first cut!), and co-producers Norro Wilson and Buddy Cannon (Chesney was also recognized as a producer).

During the presentations, host Harry Warner of BMI surprised McHugh with a 2 Million-Air certificate for his Tracy Byrd hit, "Holdin' Heaven." McHugh's other BMI Award-winning songs are "Day In, Day Out," "Holdin' On To Something," "Life Goes On" and "This Is Me."
