Much Ado About ‘Nothin’
Songwriters Tom Shapiro and Rivers Rutherford celebrated their 6-weeks-at-#1 smash "Ain't Nothin' Bout You" at BMI Nashville (7/10) with a host of family and friends, receiving special thanks from Brooks & Dunn for the biggest single of their career. Number One presentations were also made to publishers Wenonga Music and Sony/ATV Tree Music Publishing, and Arista Records.

Shapiro is a 3-time BMI Country Songwriter of the Year and has collected more than 30 BMI Country Awards and 20 Million-Air certifications. Among his hits are "Wink" (1995 BMI Country Song Of the Year), "That Ain't My Truck," "When Boy Meets Girl," "She Never Lets It Go To Her Heart" and "You're Easy On the Eyes." Rutherford is also on the charts with the Tracy Byrd/Mark Chesnutt collaboration "That's A Good Way To Get On My Bad Side." Brooks & Dunn are currently on tour with their Neon Circus & Wild West Show in support of their album Steers and Stripes.
