Lonestar ‘Already There’ At Top of the Charts
The celebration for Lonestar's seventh #1 single, "I'm Already There," was marked by laughter and some tears during a packed reception hosted by BMI Nashville. After a special performance by Lonestar of the six-weeks-at-#1 smash, lead singer Richie McDonald movingly spoke of the inspiration behind the tune: a long-distance conversation with his young son, Rhett. "I'm Already There," which BMI and Sony/ATV Tree writer McDonald penned with Gary Baker and Frank Myers, is the title track from Lonestar's BNA Records album as well as the name of the band's upcoming US tour.
