BMI Country Awards Set for Nov. 6

BMI President & CEO Frances Preston and BMI Nashville Vice President Paul Corbin will host the 49th Annual BMI Country Awards, the oldest awards saluting country’s top music makers, on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at the BMI Nashville office (10 Music Square East). Highlights of the black-tie gala, which announces the 50 songs that received the most airplay last year, include the naming of the Songwriter and the Publisher of the Year and the Most Performed Country Song of the Year (the Robert J. Burton Award).

Among the guests expected are Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Travis Tritt, Kenny Chesney, Diamond Rio, Lari White, Aaron Tippin, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Rascal Flatts, Andy Griggs, Blake Shelton, Chad Brock, The Warren Brothers, Trick Pony, Tim Rushlow, Bill Anderson, Gary Chapman, BlackHawk, Brenda Lee, Lee Greenwood, Billy Dean and Mindy McCready. Attendance is by invitation only and limited to those being honored.
