Winners of the 2nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards were finally revealed on October 30 after the ceremony was canceled because of the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, DC. The live telecast, originally scheduled to air September 11, was transformed into a star-studded press conference and live webcast hosted by Jimmy Smits and Paul Rodriguez at the Conga Room in Los Angeles.

BMI songwriter Juanes was one of the event's biggest winners, earning three Latin Grammy Awards out of his seven nominations for Best New Artist, Best Rock Solo Vocal Album for Fijate Bien, and Best Rock Song for the title track from his album. "This is to my family, for having taught me how to express love through music," he said in Spanish while accepting an armful of trophies, "and for Colombia, my source of inspiration."

BMI, proud to have such a rich history in Latin music, congratulates all of its winners including Producer of the Year K.C. Porter, Best Tropical Song winner Kike Santander, who took home the songwriter award for his hit, "Jurame (Meregue)" and Eddie Palmieri for Best Salsa Album.
