Verges ‘Blessed’ With Second #1

Posted in News on April 25, 2002

BMI Nashville held a roof-top bash for songwriter Troy Verges, whose "Blessed" recently hit #1 on Billboard's Country chart. The song, which Verges co-wrote with Brett James and Hillary Lindsey, was recorded by RCA artist Martina McBride, produced by McBride and Paul Worley, and published by Songs of Universal. Verges and James scored their first #1 hit last year with Jessica Andrews's recording of "Who I Am" and are currently on the charts with James's debut single "Chasin' Amy." Among Verges's other recent cuts are "Telluride" (Tim McGraw) and "I Would Have Loved You Anyway" (Trisha Yearwood).
