Lamont Dozier

BMI songwriter Lamont Dozier received the President's Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) during their recent annual meeting in Los Angeles. Dozier is a member of the legendary BMI songwriting trio Holland-Dozier-Holland, responsible for penning such Motown classics as "Baby, I Need Your Lovin'," "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch," "Heat Wave" and "This Old Heart of Mine." DreamWorks recording artists AZ Yet performed a musical tribute to Dozier prior to the award presentation.
