Tonos Pacts With Major Music Publishers

Posted in News on September 11, 2002

Tonos Entertainment, the online musician/songwriter network, has announced that major music publishers Chrysalis Music Group, DreamWorks SKG Publishing, EMI Music Publishing, Famous Music and Warner/Chappell Music will sign two or more up-and-coming songwriters who are members of the Tonos global musicians network.

Aspiring songwriters can be eligible for the agreements by subscribing to TonosPRO, the Tonos subscription service.

"We are very excited to be partnering with Tonos," said Les Bider, Chairman and Chief Executive of Warner/Chappell Music. “From its legendary founders to its artist development and hitmakers team, Tonos is helping music publishers discover talented songwriters from around the world.”

TonosPRO is designed to help musicians develop their craft, access new music industry opportunities, and connect with a global network of musicians, songwriters, and producers.

A similar agreement was reached in July with six major record labels. BMI and Tonos signed their own marketing deal at the end of last year.
