BMI Honors Chamber Music America

Posted in News on January 30, 2003
Chamber Music America, the New York based national service organization, recently held its 25th anniversary conference in New York City (January 17-19, 2003). BMI hosted a reception prior to the closing banquet and presented a "Special Citation of Appreciation to Chamber Music America for 25 years of outstanding service to the world of music." Presenting the award was BMI's Barbara Petersen and accepting was Chamber Music America's executive director, Margaret Lioi. This was the second time BMI honored Chamber Musica America's staff, board, and members; in 1985, Barbara Petersen had presented the organization with a BMI Commendation of Excellence.

Several BMI composers were present at the reception, either as conference attendees or as specially invited local guests.
