BMI Foundation, Inc. Elects New Board Members

Frances W. Preston, President and CEO of BMI, announced today that the BMI Foundation, Inc. has elected seven new members to the Board of Directors, all of whom are also BMI executives. The newly elected board members are: Tom Annastas, Vice President, General Licensing; Pat Baird, Assistant Vice President, Media Relations; Ann Booth, Vice President, Special Projects & Executive Administration; Evelyn Buckstein Assistant Vice President and Counsel, Performing Rights; C. Paul Corbin, Vice President, Writer-Publisher Relations; Linda Livingston, Senior Director, Writer-Publisher Relations; and Michael O’Neill, Vice President, Media Licensing. In making the announcement, Preston noted: “The new board members are drawn from a wide range of BMI departments and offices and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the table.”

She also expressed her gratitude to all members of the all-volunteer Foundation Board for their generous donation of time and expertise, including recently reelected Foundation Officers and Directors are: Ralph N. Jackson, President; Robbin Ahrold, Vice President; Gary F. Roth, Vice President; Jean Banks, Secretary; Thomas Curry, Treasurer.

The BMI Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1985, is dedicated to encouraging the creation, performance and study of music through awards, scholarships, internships, grants, and commissions. Support comes primarily from BMI affiliated songwriters, composers and publishers, BMI board members and employees, and members of the public with a special interest in music. Because all members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and the distinguished members of the Advisory Panel serve without compensation, over 97% of all donations and investment income has been used for charitable grants. Contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
