BMI and Forefront Records hosted a double celebration for Rebecca St. James, recognizing her 10-year career anniversary and the Gold certification of her album, God. During the event at BMI Nashville, she received the gold record, as well as plaques honoring the career milestone and her recent #1 single "I Thank You." Australian Prime Minister John Howard and Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum also sent congratulatory letters, which were read by Santorum's executive staff member Eden Gordon.

God, St. James' 1996 release, was responsible for hits such as the title track, "Speak To Me," and "Go and Sin No More." Since appearing on the Christian music radar ten years ago, St. James has developed into one of today's most loved and respected international Christian music artists. St. James has several accolades to her credit, including Christianity Today's "Top 50 Up & Coming Evangelical Leaders under 40" and one of today's "50 Most Influential People" according to Christian Radio Weekly.

With seven records to her credit -- including the Grammy-winning album Pray and a greatest hits project -- St. James has accumulated more than two million in career sales and garnered 18 Top 10 radio singles, 13 of which reached #1. The latest project from the Sydney, Australia native is Wait For Me: The Best From Rebecca St. James; among the 16 tracks is the #1 "I Thank You," which has spurred a popular remix saluting the troops who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
