NSAI and CMT/CMT.com Partner for 4th Annual Song Contest

This year's Grand Prize Winner will receive an invitation to perform on CMT's Most Wanted Live stage during Fan Fair, plus a trip to Nashville, guaranteed appointments with publishers and record labels, a mentoring session with an award-winning professional songwriter, an invitation to perform at the Bluebird Caf� during NSAI's Tin Pan South, and an appearance on a WSM radio program. NSAI will produce a professional demo of the winning song and pitch it to publishers and A&R record label executives for one year. Five Finalists will also receive a professional demo and song pitching for a year.
Prizes will be awarded to a Grand Prize Winner, five Finalists, 10 Runners-Up and 40 Honorable Mentions. The Grand Prize Winner wins a Taylor Guitars model 214, an AKG C-3000B studio condenser microphone, a one-year supply of Elixir Strings, a one-year SongU.com tuition, and a Music City Pitch Kit nylon bag designed for songwriters. Five Finalists win a Big Baby Taylor Guitar, an AKG D 880 performance microphone, and a six-month SongU.com tuition. Both the Grand Prize Winner and Five Finalists also receive MasterWriter songwriter software, one-year SongRamp.com pro membership, free registration to NSAI Songwriter's Symposium or Song Camp 101 or 102, and a one-year NSAI membership.
The contest is open to all genres of music and all songs entered receive a judging report. Songs will be judged based on lyrics, melody and composition by music industry executives, professional songwriters, and NSAI board members.
Songwriters entering before September 30, 2003 will receive $5 off the entry fee; they will also be entered in the Early Entry Raffle for a chance to win a Big Baby Taylor Guitar, AKG D 880 performance microphone, MasterWriter songwriter software, one-year SongU.com tuition, and a one-year SongRamp.com pro membership.
All entries must be postmarked by the Final Contest Deadline November 29, 2003.

All proceeds from the 4th Annual CMT/CMT.com NSAI Song Contest will benefit NSAI's legislative efforts to protect the rights of songwriters. NSAI is the world's largest not-for-profit songwriters trade organization.
