BMI Hosts MUSICA Preview

Posted in News on November 9, 2003
BMI hosted a preview party for MUSICA, a 40-foot bronze figure group, sculpted by Alan LeQuire, which was recently installed in Nashville's Music Row roundabout [10/11]. BMI's Paul Bell, a member of the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission, welcomed hundreds of Music Row neighbors to the afternoon reception to meet the artist. The piece features nine dancing muses, which LeQuire says represent the moment of creative inspiration, joy of the musical experience, and racial harmony and diversity. Anonymous donors commissioned the piece and donated it as a gift to the city. BMI also sponsored the official unveiling of MUSICA, which is touted as the largest bronze figure group in the United States.
