Johnny Wright Celebrates 90th Birthday

Johnny Wright celebrated his 90th birthday with a bash held at Nashville's Texas Troubador Theater (5/12). BMI's Patsy Bradley presented the former Grand Ole Opry member with a "Special Citation of Appreciation," honoring the occasion and his many contributions to the world of country music. With Jack Anglin, Wright was half of the famed country duo Johnny & Jack. Various music industry veterans were on hand to salute the nonagenarian including wife Kitty Wells, Jim Ed Brown, Jean Shepherd, George Hamilton IV, George Hamilton V and Jeannie Seely.
