Jeffrey Steele, BMI's 2003 Country Songwriter of the Year, celebrated the release of his new Lofton Creek Records album Outlaw with a rooftop preview party at BMI Nashville.

The first single, "Once a Cowboy," was recently distributed to radio, and was co-written by Steele with BMI songwriters Shane Minor and former Poison front man Bret Michaels. During the festivities, BMI's David Preston surprised Steele with Million-Air certificates for his hits "I'm Tryin'," "Speed," "My Town," and "These Days."
