Tim Nichols celebrated the rise of his tell-all hit, "Girls Lie Too," to the top of the charts with a party at BMI Nashville (9/22). In addition, Warner-Tamerlane Publishing Corp. and producer
Byron Gallimore were honored for their contributions to the song, which appears on Terri Clark's Mercury Nashville
Greatest Hits release. Nichols co-wrote "Girls Lie Too" with Connie Harrington and Mark D. Sanders, who were also on hand to celebrate the success of their tune.

Nichols co-wrote Clark's previous #1 hit "I Wanna Do It All," as well as Tim McGraw's recent #1 "Live Like You Were Dying." His other award-winning credits include "That'd Be Alright" (Alan Jackson), "All Is Fair In Love and War" (Ronnie Milsap) and "That's The Kind of Mood I'm In" (Patty Loveless).
