BMI songwriter/artists Sheryl Crow and Toby Keith were double winners at the 32nd annual American Music Awards, held November 14 in Los Angeles.

Sheryl Crow Toby Keith Brooks & Dunn

Singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow took home both of the Favorite Female Artist trophies she was up for -- one in the pop/rock field and the other in the adult contemporary field. Country superstar Toby Keith was named Favorite Male Artist for the third year in a row, while his triple platinum smash Shock'n Y'All earned the Favorite Country Album award. This is his second Favorite Album win; Unleashed earned the title last year.

Linkin Park

Also winning in the country category were Brooks & Dunn, who took home the award for Favorite Band, Duo or Group. Rockers Linkin Park won Favorite Alternative Artist for the second consecutive year.

Winners of the American Music Awards are selected by a survey of about 20,000 listeners; nominations are based on sales figures and radio play.
