A ‘Sunny’ Day for BMI Writer Bobby Hebb
BMI Award-winning writer/artist Bobby Hebb was surprised before a recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry when BMI presented him with a 6 Million-Air certification for "Sunny," one of the most recorded songs in pop music history and among the top 40 compositions in BMI's repertoire of 4.5 million musical works.

Hebb began his career in Nashville performing with his brothers and sisters and later sang and danced with Roy Acuff and his Smoky Mountain Boys at the Opry and on tour. He has appeared as a solo artist all over the world, even earning a slot on the Beatles' final American tour.
