Posted in News on February 16, 2005
Registration for the 16th Annual Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards, to be held April 25-28 at the Hotel InterContinental in Miami, is now available to BMI songwriters and composers at a discounted rate of $499, a savings of $250 over the regular rate.

The conference is attended by over 1000 sponsors, press and powerful music industry executives, and includes showcase performances by over 20 artists, panel discussions on important industry issues, a one-on-one interview with an industry superstar conduced by Billboard's Latin music bureau chief, Leila Cobo, and many other fun-filled festivities.

The week is capped off by the Billboard Latin Music Awards, honoring the biggest and brightest stars in the industry. This year the show will take place on April 28 at the Miami Arena and will air live on Telemundo and will be simulcast by Univision Radio. Finalists and winners are the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music as determined by the actual sales and radio airplay data that informs Billboard's weekly charts. Based on sales data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and radio information monitored by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems, Billboard's charts are the world's most authoritative music charts.
