BMI Hosts Songwriter101.com Panel at DIY Convention
BMI hosted a Songwriter101.com panel featuring some of BMI's leading pop, urban and country songwriters at the DIY Convention on February 11 in Los Angeles. The panel, moderated by music journalist Dan Kimpel, featured 2005 Grammy-nominated songwriter Sean Garrett ("Yeah!" by Usher); Lauren Christy of production trio The Matrix ("Complicated" "Sk8er Boi" by Avril Lavigne; "So Yesterday" by Hilary Duff); songwriter Randy Sharp ("Home" by the Dixie Chicks, "Why Does It Have To Be Wrong or Right" by Restless Heart, "Then What" by Clay Walker) and songwriter/producer Chad Hugo of The Neptunes.
