BMI Talks Film Music at DIY Convention

Ray Yee, Director of Film/TV Relations for BMI in Los Angeles, moderated the "Licensing Your Music for Film & TV" panel at the DIY Convention held recently in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The panel featured top music supervisors in film and TV, as well as executives who place music at the record label and publisher end of the business. Among the topics discussed were getting music placed in film and TV, scoring vs. writing songs for a film, and new growth areas for music in TV, film and cable.
