Posted in News on April 19, 2006
BMI's Delia Orjuela recently attended a reception hosted by the Latin Recording Academy in Mexico City honoring philanthropist Pepita Serrano. Serrano was recognized by LARAS for the work of his cultural organization, SIVAM (International Society of Mexican Arts Value), a privately funded non-profit dedicated to promoting music education for children and to the development of opera and "zarzuela" - Spanish operettas popular in Spain and Mexico.

Shown at the event are Ferra, Kiko Cibrian, BMI's Delia Orjuela and Carlos Macias.

BMI Latin songwriters and producers were among the special guests at the gala event, including singer/songwriter Ferra, songwriter/producer Kiko Cibrian, writer of "Que Vida La Mia" by Reik, and songwriter Carlos Macias, who has written for Pablo Montero, Victor Garcia and Nadia.
