The second annual International Film Music Conference, which took place July 20-23 in Ubeda, Spain, featured guest composers who took part in the panel on film music performing their masterpieces. Special guests included Academy Award nominee John Debney (Passion of the Christ), Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian), John Ottman (Superman Returns), John Frizzell (Alien Resurrection, Gods and Generals) and several European composers including Oscar winner Bruno Coulais (Le Choristes), as well as Carol Goldsmith, Jerry Goldsmith's widow, and BMI's Doreen Ringer Ross.

The three-day conference included an evening concert in the one thousand-year old square, which featured the music of the American composers. In an award ceremony, Carol Goldsmith was given their first award, the "Jerry," which is a caricature statue of the late composer. Honorary president John Frizzell was also awarded a "Jerry" for his support of the event and producing the concert.
