That song, "When I Get Where I'm Going," caught the ear of one of country's brightest new stars, Brad Paisley, who added the harmonies of BMI Icon Dolly Parton to the project. The result is a moving commentary on those who depart this world and those left behind-and Teren and Rutherford's third #1 single written together (including "Real Good Man").
"This whole thing seemed to just get better and better," Teren reflected at the joint #1 party thrown by BMI and ASCAP. "First Brad was interested, and it went up to this level. Then, Dolly Parton was added to the project, and it went to a whole new level. I guess this is the culmination of it all, and I just want to thank each and every one of you for coming here today to celebrate with us. Thank you."
The celebration was held across the street from BMI's Nashville offices in Bradley Park, named for renowned Nashville producer Owen Bradley.
