BMI and WBYT B100 Bring Nashville Songwriters to Shipshewana, Indiana for the 3rd Annual Songwriters In-The-Round
BMI partnered recently with Federated Media’s WBYT B100 country station for the 3rd Annual BMI Songwriters in-the-round held at Blue Gate Performing Arts Center in Shipshewana, Indiana. Headlining the show were BMI Nashville singer/songwriters Ashland Craft, Brian Davis, and Ben Burgess.
Ashland Craft was among CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2021 and Pandora’s Country Artists to Watch 2021. Ashland was featured on HIXTAPE: Vol. 2 with Brothers Osborne on “I Smoke Weed,” supported Ashley McBryde’s THIS TOWN TALKS TOUR 2022 along with opening for Cody Johnson, Brother Osborne, Zac Brown Band, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and Marcus King. Earlier this year, Ashland was on the 2023 Long Live Cowgirls Tour supporting Ian Munsick.
Brian Davis is a singer/songwriter from North Carolina who has co-written number one songs “One Hell of an Amen,” recorded by Brantley Gilbert and “Memory I Don’t Mess With” recorded by Lee Brice. Brian has also had songs recorded by Jason Aldean, Gretchen Wilson, Tyler Farr, Jerrod Niemann, and The TV show Nashville, among others.
Ben Burgess is an award-winning songwriter and country artist from Dallas, Texas. Ben landed his first career cut with Jonas Brothers’ “Chillin’ In the Summertime. In 2020, he won BMI Country Song of the Year with Morgan Wallen’s 7X platinum “Whiskey Glasses.” He has also written “The Difference” which was recorded by Tyler Rich and went gold, Pat Green’s Texas radio #1 “Drinkin’ Days,” Lil Wayne’s “Dreams,” Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan’s platinum “There for You,” Dierks Bentley’s “My Religion,” HARDY’s “SIGNED, SOBER YOU,” and more. His songs have also landed TV placements on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and commercial spots for Major League Baseball, Xbox, and Lexus. In 2022, he broke out as an artist in his own right, releasing his debut album Tears The Size of Texas. Earlier this month, Ben was honored with another BMI Country Song of the Year with ERNEST’s “Flower Shops” featuring Morgan Wallen.
