Sandy Relief On the Way: 12-12-12 Concert Live Tonight on bmi.com

Posted in News on December 12, 2012

Corporate giant Chase is helping to launch a huge-scale Hurricane Sandy relief effort by presenting a live concert at Madison Square Garden tonight that is not to be missed. The line-up of musical giants giving their time and talents at this unsurpassed event includes among many others BMI songwriters Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, The Who, Kanye West, and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters. The Concert starts at 7:30PM Eastern Time and is expected to last close to 5 hours. This event is designed to be a moment in time and there is no rebroadcast or on demand stream planned at this time so tonight is the night to watch. Absolutely all proceeds and donations generated by this event will go to community organizations serving the victims of Hurricane Sandy through the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which is the largest private poverty-fighting organization in New York City. The organization provided blankets, hot food, heaters, generators and more to residents in Red Hook, Coney Island, the Rockaways, and all across the affected region within hours of the storm. As part of this charitable event, BMI’s licensing department has waived all licensing fees.
