BMI composers Alex Wurman and Dave Pierce (SOCAN) picked up big wins during the 2010 Creative Arts Emmys, held Saturday, August 21 in Los Angeles. Wurman’s music for HBO’s Temple Grandin took top prize in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or Special field. Wurman’s inspired score enriched the acclaimed biopic, which follows the life of autistic pioneer Temple Grandin.

Pierce walked away with the Oustanding Music Direction statuette in recognition of his work on the awe-inspiring the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games Opening Ceremony.

The 2010 Primetime Emmys are slated for Sunday, August 29. For more information, visit emmys.com.
