Award-Winning BMI Songwriter Returns to Home State to Support Hotel Industry
Multi-platinum GRAMMY-nominated BMI singer songwriter Wendell Mobley took center stage recently at the Greater Columbus Stars of Industry Awards Luncheon presented by the Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown. The Celina, Ohio native returned home to help the OHLA honor excellence in the hospitality industry in the Columbus area by performing a moving set of some of his biggest hits. Mobley has written ten number one hits for artists like Jason Aldean, Racal Flatts and Kenny Chesney, including the eight-week number one “There Goes My Life,” which was nominated for ACM song of the year. The event was attended by more than 200 hotel executives representing a variety of brands including Hilton and Marriott.
