Best of Indie 2013: Dear Boy
We’re not the only ones loving Dear Boy’s bitter-sweet alternative rock in 2013. Since being featured among our June Indie Spotlights and playing BMI’s Pick of the Month showcase at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, Dear Boy released their self-titled EP in September. Their impact on radio is considerable, too – the week of November 3, they made it to No. 1 on KROQ 106.7 FM’s Locals Only playlist, which is Southern California’s way of saying, “We can’t get enough of you!” Dear Boy recently played L.A.’s famed venue, The Echo with Night Terrors of 1927, Halfbluud and Ghost Loft.
